LIBBY LEHMAN
Libby began making quilts 38 years ago when her mother signed them up for a basic class. Over the years she has evolved from a traditional handworker to one of the leaders in innovative machine stitching. Her studio art quilts have won many awards and appear in private, corporate, and museum collections. She is the author of Threadplay with Libby Lehman(That Patchwork Place, 1997).
Bring on the Bobbin - $90

Building a Landscape Art Quilt - $55

Bring a photo of a scene or picture and Gayle Simpson will teach you the technique she has been teaching at Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. You will need a 16 x 20 black and white enlargement and will do a fabric collage, and then stitch it down. This is raw edge appliqué, but Gayle will help you do it as piecing or fusing if necessary. You will love your art quilt!!!
Meandering Moose - $55

Join Gayle Simpson and she will guide you through creating your own Meandering Moose. This is an original design that was first debuted at Art on the Green. Students will be able to choose from three options, and will receive 2 moose patterns to use in your composition; Meandering Fabric Moose, Meandering Moonlight Moose and Meandering Whimsical Moose. Even though these moose look quite at home in art quilts, they can be worked into a block format if you choose. Pattern Included.
LAURIE SHIFRIN
Laurie, a Seattle Resident, is a favorite teacher and lecturer in the Pacific Northwest as well as across the United States. Her third book, Batik Gems, released in late 2009, is a showcase of her unique quilt designs and her everlasting love of batiks.

In the 2-day workshop, Laurie will share her thoughts on selecting fabrics for a cohesive quilt, and she will demonstrate the different steps and show many tips streamlining the quilting process. The blocks use an intriguing technique of slicing the block into more parts and sewing them back together. While the class isn't for the very beginner, anyone with a little quilting experience will find this quilt a fun challenge. Choose one of 5 sizes. Pattern Required.

O’Tannenbaum is a 10 month block of the month pattern series inspired by the symbols, traditions and spirit of families celebrating Christmas in Germany. Techniques include paper piecing, courthouse steps, appliqué and embellishment. This beautiful quilt may look overwhelming, but it is easily completed during our 10 month series. Does your diet need more fiber? Then join Claudia Vess once a month for the Breakfast Club! Each month we’ll start the morning with a breakfast treat and then move on to create a project. Each project can be done six ways from over easy to well done. The main ingredient is 2 ½ inch strips. Add your own seasonings and you’ll have a dish all your own. Projects can be done by beginners but advanced sewers will love the finished project too! Pattern and Breakfast Provided.

Judy Niemeyer patterns are absolutely gorgeous and can be intimidating for the first time. However, some of her patterns are quite easily accomplished and are designed with the beginning to intermediate paper piecer in mind. Sandy McCause will demystify the process and get you started on the right foot. The class will include organizing, fabric selection, tool usage and basic paper piecing techniques. Class Policies:
- Smaller classes may be held in our second classroom which is upstairs, please inform our staff at time of registration if the stairs would present a problem.
- Class fee is due at the time of registration. Phone registration is taken with bank card payment only.
- A 10% discount is given on supplies & fabrics for the class.
- NO CELL PHONES IN CLASSROOM – if you are expecting an important call, please set phone to vibrate and take calls out of the classroom, thank you for your cooperation.
- In consideration of others, please arrange to leave children at home.
Cancellation:
- 7 days notice is required for refund or to transfer to another class.
(14 days notice for Special guests as indicated in handout)
- We make every effort to fill classes, but if we must cancel we will attempt to notify you one week in advance.
Class Supplies: Please have supplies & fabric prepared per teacher’s supply list
Along with specific class supplies bring a general sewing kit:
